Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
BoardComply (“BoardComply,” “we,” “us”) operates boardcomply.co, an online education and compliance platform for Florida homeowners’ association and condominium board members. These terms are an agreement between you and BoardComply and govern your use of the site, the courses, the certificates, and the board records. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.
2. What the service is (and is not)
BoardComply provides educational courses intended to satisfy the board-member education requirements of Florida law (Chapters 720 and 718, Florida Statutes), certificates of completion, your certificate records, and related reminders.
BoardComply is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Course content summarizes Florida law for educational purposes. Statutes change, and your association’s governing documents may impose additional requirements. For legal advice about your situation, consult a licensed Florida attorney.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information, because your certificate is issued in the name on your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Course completion and certification are personal to you: the person named on the account must be the person who completes the course.
- You must be at least 18 to use the service.
4. Courses and certificates
- Course access begins free; a one-time payment unlocks the full course and certification. Prices are shown before you pay.
- A certificate is issued when you complete all modules of a course. Each certificate has a public verification link that shows whether it is valid, expired, or revoked.
- Certificates expire per the schedule shown at issuance, consistent with Florida law for the course type.
- We may revoke a certificate if the payment for it is refunded or reversed, or if it was obtained through misrepresentation (for example, someone else completing the course for you).
5. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe; your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. Course purchases are one-time charges; there is no subscription. Our Refund Policy, including a 30-day money-back guarantee, is part of these terms.
6. Your certificate records
We keep a copy of every certificate we issue to you, so you can download it again at any time. If you tell us who your board secretary is, we send them a copy for the association’s records, because Florida law requires the association to keep proof of each director’s certification on file. Closing your account does not invalidate a certificate you earned.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not misrepresent who you are, your board position, or your association.
- Do not share, resell, or transfer course access or certificates.
- Do not attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other people’s data.
- Do not use the service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.
8. Our content
The courses, site design, graphics, audio narration, and software are BoardComply’s property or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own education and your board’s recordkeeping, not to copy, republish, or build a competing product. Florida Statutes quoted in the courses are public law.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” We work to keep content current with Florida law and the service available, but we do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome with your association, a regulator, or a court. Educational requirements are set by law and can change; compliance with your obligations remains your responsibility.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Florida law allows, BoardComply’s total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Questions: info@boardcomply.co or (786) 605-9441.
